SIAM Washington-Baltimore Section
The Washington-Baltimore Section promotes the interests of applied mathematicians in academia, industry, and government in the metropolitan area of Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland. The Section regularly hosts evening events consisting of dinner followed by an expository lecture.

The Fall 2011 Meeting will be held at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, in the Clipper Room in Shriver Hall on the Homewood Campus of Johns Hopkins University.
The speaker will be Professor Dionisios Margetis, Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics, University of Maryland, College Park. He will present a lecture entitled, "A Tale of Two Scales: From Discrete Schemes to Partial Differential Equations in Epitaxial Growth".
The dinner will be held at Gertrude's Restaurant in the Baltimore Art Museum, next to the Johns Hopkins campus. The dinner will start at 6:30 p.m.
